DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY
The Company
shall not allow the use of drugs/controlled substances on board the vessels under the management of its Principals. The Company
shall not allow the possesion of anyone crew member, visitor or others at anytime on board.
The Company shall maintain in coordination and cooperation with the
Principals that the use of alcoholic beverages shall be based upon the principle that officers and ratings should not in any
way impaired from performing their scheduled duties.
Any use of alcohol must be done with consideration that all seafarers
must be able to respond at any time to an emergency situation. This will be ensured if the total blood alcohol content does
not exceed 40mg/100ml.
The Company therefore recommends to its Principals that intoximeters
are placed onboard each their respective vessels which shall allow the Master to specifically check any crew suspected of
having a higher level of alcohol in his system and incapable of carrying out his duties.
The use and consumption of alcoholic beverages is therefore governed
by common sense.
For the purpose of this policy, drugs/controlled substances included,
but are not limited to marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP) and amphetamines.
